Connect to G9

Start here

No login is needed to read these instructions. Choose home Wi-Fi or away from home below.

Connecting routes supported traffic through G9. Registration gives the admin a name and individual settings for your device. Opening the dashboard alone does not connect your Internet traffic.

At home: Wi-Fi proxy

Loading the home Wi-Fi settings…

Android

Settings → Wi-Fi → the connected home network → Edit or Advanced → Proxy → Manual. Enter the server and port shown above and save. Labels vary by phone.

iPhone or iPad

Settings → Wi-Fi → ⓘ beside the home network → Configure Proxy → Manual. Enter the server and port shown above, leave Authentication off, and save.

Windows

Settings → Network & internet → Proxy → Manual proxy setup. Enter the server and port. Windows may use this setting on other networks too; turn it off away from home.

Link your paired device

  1. Use the proxy and browse a website.
  2. Pair on the dashboard with your invitation code. Ask the admin to link the Wi-Fi MAC to that existing device under Link home Wi-Fi to a device.
  3. If it is not listed, give the admin the Wi-Fi MAC address shown for this home network.

Use the private Wi-Fi address for this network if enabled. If it changes, ask the admin to update the link on the same device record.

This works on G9's home Wi-Fi, not mobile data or another home's Wi-Fi. Apps that ignore the proxy bypass G9. If G9 is off, turn the proxy off to restore browsing that depends on it.

Away from home: WireGuard

Loading WireGuard availability…

  1. Open the dashboard, pair with your invitation code, then choose Connect this device → Generate my QR / config. An admin can also generate the profile from your existing device card.
  2. Install the official WireGuard app from WireGuard's installation page.
  3. Scan the QR from another screen, or download the .conf file on this device and import it in WireGuard.
  4. Turn on the tunnel. For the first connection, use mobile data and ask the admin to check the recent handshake and traffic in the dashboard.

The router's WireGuard UDP forwarding must be set up by the admin. Keep the profile private and use a separate profile for each device. The WireGuard app has no G9 admin login.

WireGuard connects you to G9. Home and away use the same saved device route: Direct exits through home Internet; an available VPN route uses the configured provider. Check the dashboard for available countries and live health. TCP web/app traffic and DNS are supported; other UDP traffic such as some games and calls may not work.

If G9 is unavailable, switch the tunnel off to restore your normal connection.

Dashboard and admin access

Open the dashboard for basic health. A paired browser sees its own settings; Admin login opens household controls after authentication.

Open the dashboard at this same secure address on the device you want to register. The admin creates a single-use pairing code; enter it under Add a new device, then save a device username and password. Return using Device login after clearing cookies or in incognito. Logging in restores the same record; you do not need another invitation.

With WireGuard on, Your connection to G9 can automatically recognize the profile carrying this browser's request, even without cookies. Recognition does not log you in or grant admin access. If it is not detected, the device's recent handshake is separate evidence; reconnect the tunnel to refresh its DNS after an update.

Pairing does not route your Internet traffic through G9. Use the home Wi-Fi proxy or an individual WireGuard profile for that. A PC address starting with 127.0.0.1 works only on that PC; use the public HTTPS address for phone access.
